i just like this photo./do u have a can opener or what

i just like this photo
so

ok kids it's time to make ROSEMARY'S PUMPKIN BLACK BEAN BURGERS.
these burgers are dairy-free,
nut-free,
alpaca-free,
and laden with black beans.

i originally got the idea from a friendly gathering, where a lovely lady smashed her beans, sifted her flour, shredded her carrots and wielded her olive oil to the highest efficiency.
at least this is my perception in the kitchen.
it's always so goddamn beautiful.

P.S.//her name wasn't rosemary.
but theres something so quaint about that name.

my mental picture of what it is to live like a rosemary:

plus i thought "rosemary's burgers" was a nice play on rosemary's baby.
which i've never seen but still feel comfortable desecrating horror with black bean burgers.
plus plus i put rosemary in my burgers you fool

here we go babies.

PUMPKIN BLACK BEAN ROSEMARY BURGERS
(yields 3 quaintly large burgers)

1 can black beans (haha i bet yours is expired)
3/4 cup flour (whatever kind of flour you desire! i combined oat flour and whole wheat flour)
1/2 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling///im pretty sure you wouldn't have made the pie filling mistake anyway but recipes referencing canned pumpkin habitually warn against this mix-up so this is what im doing)
spinach, a handful if you want
some shredded carrot
olive oil
FREESTYLE your spices. i used jamaican curry, cumin, salt, black pepper, and frankly i don't recall any further
ROSEMARY if you can, any herbs or none at all. this could turn into BASIL'S or CILANTRO'S or THYME'S pumpkin black bean burgers. burgers in thyme.
i generally prefer thyme over time

INSTRUCCIONES

1.) grab a large bowl for me baby, will you?
2.) empty that bean can into a strainer, and rinse your salty nuggets.
3.) dump those freshly bathed beans into that hefty bowl you so kindly got for me thx that was really sweet
4.) dumb that pumpkin on top
5.) mash
6.) flour, please
7.) WATER
8.) check out your consistency. if it's too thick, more water; too goopy, more flour please. but i like goopy burgers so really, there is no right
9.) add your veggies if you got 'em, if not don't worry but don't tell mom
10.) SPICE/HERBS MANIA
11.) pour some olive oil into a pan; heat on medium high. (the more oil gives crunchier skins to the burgers, and truly ups the deliciousness i promise)
"fat gives things flavor" ~Julia Child <3 <3<3
12.) form patties with your hands, and throw em on. should be enough for 3 or 4 nicely-sized patties
13.) cook till crunchy n brown on both sides
im not going to tell you enjoy

thats salsa
